Located in Orange County, California, the idea and the concept of Prundo.com was conceived in the summer of 2006 with an objective to connect auto repair shops with their customers and create a beneficial and easy to use platform for both- members and the auto reapir shop owners.

At Prundo, our mission is:

-To provide every US automobile owner with the opportunity to compare and select local automobile service providers for their vehicle/ car maintenance needs and save on their auto repairs.

-To provide every US auto repair shop with an opportunity to cost-effectively reach every US automobile/ car owner.

How and why was this idea conceived?

The idea for Prundo.com was conceived when we were trying to find a reliable and cheaper car repair service station for our car. During this searching process, we faced two major issues.

 - The auto repair shops recommended by our friends and colleagues did not repair our car make/model.

 - The auto repair shop which could repair our car were located at least 20 miles away from our home.

We were amazed to find that there were no simple solutions to these two problems. No website existed which could provide us with a list of service stations which had good user feedback rating, had reasonable prices and were located closer to our home and so we thought of creating this website model. For next 12 months we researched on this subject and finally filed a patent for this concept.!

 What does Prundo mean?

 The meaning of Prundo is very simple:

 P stands for Park,

 R stands for Reverse,

 N stands for Neutral and

 D stands for Drive.

We added U and O to make it sound better..clever name right?

We at Prundo.com believe that all businesses should bring value to their customers/ members and make their life easier. Prundo is a small step to reduce the pain associated with any car repair question or recommendations.

With the onset of web 2.0, every consumer now wants easy-to-use tools which can make their decision making process simple. Hopefully, Prundo will  be able to fill the gap, which currently exist in this car repair and maintenance market.
