In the works for years, Ferrari World has survived the Great Recession to open in time for the first Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix November 14, all situated on the same resort island.

So Toyota’s relationship with Tesla Motors has progressed very quickly, from Toyota taking a small stake in the newly public electric automaker to signing a deal for electric RAV4s. The presumption is that the Tesla/Toyota RAV4s will be assembled at the old General Motors/Toyota NUMMI joint venture plant in Fremont, California, though at press time, there was no official word from either company to confirm that. A new product for NUMMI would relieve tremendous political pressure from California on Toyota, which walked away from the factory after GM pulled out.
