What Grammy awards nominees/ winners wore last night was two extreme of the spectrum. It looked like a few did spend time to select the right outfit, which actually looked good on them and there were others who may have just ‘ordered’ something which looks good from a ‘known designer’.

It cannot be a coincidence, or can it be? Kanye West makes a scene last night on the MTV award show and the first interview he will give after this unpleasant incident is on the first show of NBC “The Jay Leno show”!

In case you are not aware of what happened, Kanye West who was drinking Hennessy on the red carpet snatched the mic from Taylor Shift as she was giving her acceptance thank you speech on winning the VMA for Best Female Music Video on Sunday evening and said “Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ll let you finish, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time,”

Taylor Swift seemed pretty surprised herself to have won the, but the real shock came when Kanye West suddenly burst onto the stage.

You all know now that everyone will be glued to the screen at 10:00PM tonight when Jay Leno debut’s his show and will interview Kanye West. People will be eager to get his side of the story. This will certainly ensure that Jay gets the audience he is looking for….. really disgusting way of promoting oneself and by ruining other person once in a life time moment!

In today’s Parade magazine ( the one which comes with the Sunday newspaper), it was very clear that there is no relationship between what you get paid to how much or how hard you work.

An airline pilot like Chesley Sullenberger, who saved lives of hundreds of people during US airways Hudson river crash earns only $100,000 and a rapper like Jay-Z earns a whooping $82 million!

The range of salary for working class people ranged from approx. $18,700 (School bus driver) to $10 million (Ken Lewis, CEO of Bank of America). In contrast the salary or earning of celebrities, sports people, singers, rappers etc ranged from $2.2 million (Britney Spears) to $125 million (Tyler Perry, Actor/Director). There were few exceptions like John Arnold,  a hedge fund manger who made $1.5 billion and Barbie doll which made $3.3 billion.

American life is based on hard working people who go every day to work, sweat out in sun and then bring food to the table. What do they get in return, a paltry salary? Yes, I do agree that celebrities do bring enjoyment, fun and laugh to our lives. But do they do so much that they get such enormous amount of money or genormous money? I do not think so.
